Viva Santiago!

Tonight we finished packing and preparing our gear for tomorrow's flight that begins our journey to South America. After enjoying a couple of weeks break from travelling to catch up on taxes and errands, we will be continuing our world trip.

Here is our itinerary so far. First we head to Chile and spend a few days breaking in our Spanish in the towns of Santiago, Valparaiso, and Vina del Mar. Then it's Southward to Patagonia where we are planning on 2 weeks of backpacking in Torres del Paines national park.

Weather will play a big part in how long we hang out in Patagonia. We are really hoping for good weather, as it means we'll not only enjoy some good backpacking, but also get to spend another week or so exploring Tierra del Fuego in the other country on our list, Argentina. After that we'll be finding some more trekking options and heading North to options including Bariloche, Mendoza, Iguazu Falls.

Our final destination is Buenos Aires, where we've reserved a flight to take us back home in late May. All in all this adds up to 2 months of travelling in South America, which we're really excited about.

Mucho Gusto,
Tony and Christy

P.S. We owe a huge thanks to our family and friends for all their help keeping us afloat during our time back in Colorado: Thom and Betta, Sean and Heather, Debbie and Lowell, Sue, Mary Ann and Warren, Bob and Doris, James and Monica, Dave and Michelle, Jason, and Mike. We couldn't be continuing our trip if it wasn't for your help.
